Chocolate Macademia Biscuits


If there is a favourite in our household, it would be this! Stephen loves these biscuits. Once again, another from my mum-in-law, but with my amendments.



Ingredients



1 cup self-raising flour, sifted
4oz (113g) macadamia nuts, crushed
4oz (113g) butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1-2 tablespoons golden syrup
Vanilla essence



Method



Preheat oven to 170°C (or 150°C for fan-forced). Line two biscuit pans with greaseproof paper.
Add in flour, cocoa, macadamia nuts, sugar, egg, melted butter, a good dash of vanilla essence and golden syrup into a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Roll 1 teaspoon of mixture into balls, place on tray and flatten slightly, using the back of a fork.
Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and let sit for 10-15 mins.
